Goodreads asked Kenneth Eade:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kenneth Eade "A Patriot's Act" is the heaviest novel I have ever written. As with all my legal thrillers, I research them as I would if I were presenting a case in court. That gives them more realism. I always wanted to write a story featuring the government run amuck on our civil rights in the name of the War on Terror. Two of the most appalling examples of this are the USA PATRIOT Act (commonly known as "The Patriot Act") and the indefinite detention of suspected terrorists without due process by law enforcement and the military.
