Goodreads asked Jenifer Jennings:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Jenifer Jennings When I face writer's block, I usually do one of two things. First, I try a creative exercise. I write a backstory scene that won't necessarily go in the book or I think of a creative question and then try to answer it in story form. This normally helps get my creative juices flowing and I can get back to the project I'm working on. If none of that helps, then I take a break. I walk away from writing or anything related writing for 24 hours. Doing something else gives my brain a break and allows my subconscious mind to work on the back burner. When I go back to my keyboard, I'm refreshed and energized.
