It was the first way I found to express myself. I've never done well articulating my feelings. But if you give me a pen and paper or a laptop, I can truly express my inner most thoughts and feelings. Sentences turned into poems, poems expounded into short stories, and short stories blossomed into novels. The more I write, the more I have to say.
