D.H. Jonathan asked Alice Adams:

Every time I see your name on the cover of Invincible Summer, I think of Booth Tarkington (because his 1922 Pulitzer Prize winning novel Alice Adams is one that I will get to eventually). Have you ever thought about writing a book called Booth Tarkington just to really confuse things?

Alice Adams I hadn't, but I will now...

The other confusing thing is that there is also a (now deceased) US writer called Alice Adams. She's famous mainly for her short stories. I read her novel Superior Women kinda hoping to hate it, but unfortunately it's fantastic.
