Sarah Sundin:
Do you feel like God has blessed you with not only a writing ability and talent, but because of your grandfather and great-uncle's experience?
Sarah Sundin
That's so sweet of you! I believe God uses everything in our lives for His purposes if we allow Him. The talents and personalities He gives us at birth, our family circumstances (good and bad), our personal choices (good and bad), and life events (good and bad). So yes, I've been blessed by these family stories and by my grandparents' examples of integrity, hard work, and good humor in bad circumstances. My writing has been blessed by having parents who loved books, a loving home, the privilege of an education, and the joy of falling in love with a good man. But my writing has also been blessed by my experiences with rejection, sin, loss, shame, loneliness, and worry for faraway loved ones. God can take every part of our lives and turn it into a blessing by using it to bless others. And I can't tell you what a joy that is.

Do you ever plan to do a book on WWII POWs or a POW? Have you ever been to Andersonville National Historic Site in Georgia? There, they have over 800 interviews there with different POWs throughout the years.. www.nps.gov/ande The collection at Andersonville covers soldiers from WWII, Vietnam, Korea, and the Gulf Wars who have been POWs, and their exhibits have the same.

Hi Sarah, I am excited that you will be on Suite T. Karen Steel sent me your info so we will be showcasing your new book, when Twilight Breaks. Since you write WWII era, my writers group had the priviledge to interview over fifteen WWII veterans to go in a book. These men were wonderful and had terriffic stories to share. In your research, do you per chance interview veterans?

I've read all your books (except When Tides Turn, which I pre-ordered in paperback and should arrive soon). You're one of my favorite authors, and I want to share your works with my best friend. Which one would you recommend she start with? She loves drama, adventure, and romance, but she's less likely to enjoy a book with a ton of description or historical detail. She's more of a "straight to the excitement" girl. ;)
