Hello John! Hope everything is well!! I want to tell you that I love your books!! I read Malice,, Valour and almost done Ruin!!! I can't let the books out of my sight! And now I can't wait for Wrath!! I'm so excited!! I want to ask you a few questions if it's okay with you. What will you be doing after these series?? Do you know any similar books to the ones you wrote?(I love books like yours). Warmly, Erick
John Gwynne
Hi Erick,
It's great to hear from you, and I'm so pleased that you're enjoying the series so much. Not long to wait now until Wrath is released - 17th November in the UK, 6th December in the US.
As to your first question. I have already finished the first book of a new trilogy. It's provisionally titled Dread, Book 1 Of Blood and Bone. It is set in the Banished Lands, but takes place 130 years after the events of Wrath. Here's what my publishers have to say about it:

I don't have a release date yet, but it should be sometime towards the end of 2017.
Your second question, books to recommend. I've loved Miles Cameron's The Traitor Son Cycle, book 1 is the Red Knight.
Sebastien de Castell's Greatcoat's series.
Adrian Tchaikovsky's Shadows of the Apt.
Bernard Cornwell's King Arthur trilogy - the Warlord Chronicles.
Hope that helps.
John

John Gwynne:
I know they say not to judge a book by its cover but the reason I first picked up Malice was because of the beautiful simplicity of the cover. Sometimes I find books where the best part turns out to be the cover, so to find a series such as yours where the exquisite cover matches the magic lying between the pages is refreshing. How/where did the inspiration for the covers come from?

Hi John, It's quite common for me to find a book series that I can enjoy and immerse myself in the world, but it's very rare for me to find a series that I enjoy so much that I add it to the group of my favourites. The Faithful and the Fallen is one of those series. I love the world, the characters, and I'm also quite partial to your writing style. So my question is, do you have any other book series planned?

Hello sir I just finished re-reading "The Faithful and the Fallen". It's one of the best fantasy series out there. "Of Blood and Bone" is my next adventure. Are you familiar with any fantasy games? If so, would you ever consider being a part of that kind of production as the lead writer? For example, if a development studio wants to re-create TFATF into a game together, as CD Projekt did with "The Witcher".
