Wherever you take him, I'm sure I'll enjoy following. The beginning of Penric's Demon just reminded me so strongly of how hard it is for people who know you well to see that you have changed. The two stories also makes me wonder, "Is Desdemona still around during Cazaril's time?" and what would she be like by then?" and what will Foix's demon be like 200 years beyond him, with such an interesting start?"

Well, I can't answer those questions, but I can mention there is a new Penric tale in the works. I'll announce particulars on my blog when they materialize, probably in a few weeks.
Foix's demon certainly has a good and lucky start, yes. Bodes well for a long and fruitful future for it.

I have a vague memory a comment you made several years ago when someone asked about another Vorkosigan book that you had started writing about finding butter bugs in the radiation zone, but that was as far as the idea had gone. Is Flowers the end result of that idea? BTW, I'm about 70% of the way through and enjoying it immensely.

In a discussion with friends about Diplomatic Immunity, I mentioned having seen you say that you regretted not having made the plot resolution section with Ekaterin be present tense, from her POV, rather than described after the fact. Someone asked where I had seen that - and I can't find it! I had thought it was in an afterward, but I'm not seeing it. Do you remember where that might be? Thank you!
