It's a good question, one I'm interested in, and which I've spent a lot of time thinking about it. So it pains me to admit I have absolutely no concrete answers that can solve your problem (or mine). Platforms like this one are a good start. Creating your website is good, too. Writing related pieces for other publications can help. So can joining other author's pages and communicating with them. Beyond taking hostages or setting your hair on fire in a public place, neither of which I recommend, I have no answers. Tell you what, though...if you want, I'd be happy to review your book. For free, too. Not sure it would help, but there you go...
