I am a writer of one novel that is near completion and six novels in the making. What made you start writing your own books? and did you take any extra writing classes to get started? Thank you,

Hi Kimberlynn! First, congratulations on nearing completion of your first novel!
I don't ever remember not writing. I wrote my first book in first grade. (It didn't get published. Yet.) I guess you could say breathing made me start writing.
I was a literature major in college. That doesn't really count as "writing classes," but it definitely helps. I also took two awesome creative writing undergrad classes from OSU-Tulsa (I audited the classes). I finished my first two published novels in those classes. I highly recommend finding a great creative writing class or a fabulous critique group. But do beware of bad critique groups or overly rigid classes with crappy teachers. Flee those - that negativity does more bad than good. Best of luck to you!

I'm so sorry about this I saw that people have asked this question hundreds of times and I know it must be annoying but I dont know when these questions were asked if it was months ago or not. I have it set to newest but i dont know what you consider new. So I was wondering if a date has been set for the tales of a new world, the fourth book?Again sorry but I love this series it's one of my favorites.

Hello, I have read all your books. I am loving New Word but have a request for the fourth book. I am from Oregon and grew up in the Gorge. It would be wonderful if you could put some sort of map drawing of the rout they take east. I completely keep up with the geography but gets a bit hinky for me when they leave John day dam area (lost lake??). That lake is near the mountain. Anyway a map of some kind would be great.
