How do you deal with writer’s block?

Angie Gallion Writers block for me is just that voice in my head telling me that "nobody wants to read this" and "why are you wasting your time?" I don't really work from an outline when I write, but I have an idea of the arc of the story so my writing comes out very much at the moment and sometimes I go down a bad path and it will shut me down for a couple of days while I work through what went wrong and how do I fix it. Then I come back and move all the stuff that backed me into a corner and put it in the extra file. I never throw anything away.
