I loved reading the Stillwater Series. Thank you so much for those. My questions are: When writing do you use a laptop, typewriter, or pan and paper? Do you do an outline for your characters and/or books? Also, Dose it help any if you visit the places your writing about?

Hi Leslie! So glad you enjoyed DEAD SILENCE, DEAD GIVEAWAY and DEAD RIGHT. Thanks for letting me know! :) I use a computer when I write, and I don't outline. I'm what they call a "pantser." I let the plot grow out of the characters, and that way I'm as surprised as the reader when I get to the end. It definitely helps to visit the places I write about--helps me to write with authority and really bring the setting to life. Have a great day!

I have just started the Whiskey Creek series (no idea what took me so long), but I am loving every bit of it!!! I was curious what your favorite type of book to read was. I'm sure you read a lot of romance as inspiration, but is there a certain type that you gravitate towards if you want to just read? Do you switch to something completely different to just get out of romance for a little and reset?
