Jay Bell Andreas doesn’t cry easily when it comes to my stories. Part of that is him knowing me too well. My family and friends often hear my voice when they read my words, or recognize little details from my life, which spoils the illusion somewhat. They also read the books before publication to help me find typos, so that distracts them too. That having been said, I asked and he said Something Like Summer made him cry. I don’t think I managed again until Something Like Stories (the end of Fall in particular) when he cried again. It’s my personal goal to make him cry much more than he does, so watch out! ;)
