Hello Mrs. George! My name is Eve and I am 14 years old, and I'd love some tips on improving my writing. I'm having a lot of trouble naming my characters, where do you get your inspiration? Thank you so much, you are a brilliant author.

Jessica Day George Well, it depends. If your world is based on the real world, or a particular country or culture, you can look up names (for instance, German names, popular names in England in the 1800s) and use ones you like or ones that have a particular meaning that works for their character.

I usually get my inspiration while I'm washing my hair, which is why my hair is so shiny!
