B.A. Paris I'm glad you loved the book and I like your question! Yes, Jack was confident that Grace would choose to go to Thailand with him, he knew that she wouldn't throw away her new marriage just because he had started acting strangely, that she would give it/him a chance. As he said to her in Thailand 'I know you, Grace, I know what you will do, what you will say, how you will act' (or something along those lines!)
