Jack Angel was such a twisted and scary character... what were the challenges to creating his character, and did you draw inspiration for Jack from any true crime stories? Also, have any of your friends/acquaintances read the book and started acting differently now that they know what your brain is capable of? ;)

B.A. Paris I didn't set out to make Jack as evil as he is but as I was writing, he just seemed to take over so the challenge was letting him in. So no, he isn't based on anyone. I love the next part of your question - no, I haven't noticed anyone acting differently around me but my daughters look at me more warily now!
