just saw the trailer for the movie due 1/2017. what do people who have read the book think of the movie? I have the books on my shelf to read. the trailer looks great and will have to now dive into these books, even though they are sure to be an emotional rollercoaster,

It is more than the dogs: it's all of us having a quest for purpose in life. I had just rescued a dog, had him shipped up from Kentucky & he was not exactly what I expected. He was thought to be a Bichon Shitzu mix and thought great: good size for my Papillon (10lbs. As his description meant he should be about 18). Well, he was already that big at 5 1/2 months when he got to NH! I took him out of the 'cage' and he licked and cuddled me to death and I fell in love & took him home. I was reading the book and got to the end sobbing and my rescue starting crying too!! I looked in his eyes held his face in my hands and asked: Was it my purpose to rescue you, or are you here to rescue me? That is what this book does to you!! The philosophy of it has helped me through several times in my life and you will not regret reading it!!The book is beautiful and the movie will be!! You just need to read the 1 before the movie: ps: my rescue wound up being a 30 lb. Bichon/Lhasa/ Tibetan Terrier mix who I refer to as my Velcro Blanket as he is so bonded with me 6 years now. I digressed but didn't want to spoil anything for you!! Enjoy(less)
