Robert Burnham
Robert Burnham asked Craig Alanson:

Did you ever serve in the army?

Craig Alanson No. The US military requires recruits to have something called 'color vision' in order to be able to understand maps, charts, wiring diagrams, etc. A Navy recruiter who came to my high school gave me a 'lantern test' where the light is supposed to blink white, then red, then green. They all looked white to me, I thought the test was a trick. My mother later said that explained why I was bad at playing the card game 'Uno', which uses color-coded cards.
I guess it is good that I have never been asked to defuse a bomb; I can't tell the blue wire from the purple wire :-(
