Just wanting to thank you! I absolutely love this book and even discussed it with my husband, who is a philosophy buff + some interest in religions especially as related to philosophy. Since reading your book, I can't get enough of Biblical fiction AND I have researched the Old Testament, Judaism, ancient times, etc, AND both of those have led to many in-depth conversations with my husband! :) :?

I am thoroughly enjoying listening to Linda Lavin read The Boston Girl on the audiobook version - she was a perfect choice for the voice of Addie. Did you have very much involvement in the audio production? If so, did you help direct Linda Lavin? She hits all the right notes and is a pleasure to listen to. Thanks.

Hi Anita! I am a more recent fan, just finished reading The Boston Girl and loved it. Now I am going back to read your others. I adore historical fiction. My question: I see many correlations or maybe coincidences in The Boston Girl's Addie Baum and your life. (ex:Addie becomes a columnist, writes on child labor). Do you often incorporate your life and hopes into your characters?
