Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Barbara Else My recently re-published historical novel - Wild Latitudes - is set mainly in Dunedin during the Gold Rush years. My first NZ forbears arrived in Dunedin in the 1840s and I have a slew of old family stories about the witty and batty entrepreneurial non-conservatives of that century. I also studied classic English novels at Otago University. Wild Latitudes is an offspring of that background.
