Can I just make an observation and say that Stephen King does not know how the Cardinal Directions work? He keeps saying that they're moving North, and then say that the sun is in the West, to their right, which is incorrect. West would be to the left. Are the directions backwards in Roland's world?

I get that it was intentional, but at times it seems almost self-indulgent writing on King's part, which pains me to say because I truly think he's the most excellent and notable author of our time. But he tried something new. It didn't go over that great, but it's still nice to see successful authors experiment with the craft instead of just honing the money-making formula they stumbled upon.
