Hi, I really enjoyed both of the sookie stackhouse and aurora teagarden series and i am also a fan of the movies. I was wondering what was your inspiration behind each of the series has they are different genres and did you find it easy to write two different genres?

Charlaine Harris I have never really understood what people mean when they ask about inspiration, so I'll give that a pass. Writing different genres is a pleasure to me, because I get to exercise different writing muscles. I get bored when I have to operate by the same set of rules all the time.

Do you have any new releases coming out this year? I started the Southern Vampire series in 2004 (just a few weeks before the forth book came out). Since then I have read ALL of your books - many multiple times. Love each and every series and have been lucky enough to come to a couple of your local book releases. :) I find myself a bit lost not having a book release to look forward to.

I think your Midnight Texas books are great. I hope you do more than the three you have written. I think it would be interesting to add maybe a couple more regular characters? I like too buy those books for a couple of local libraries.
