What is a WRAITH KNIGHT? Is that a viscious zombie creature that is also a knight? I first heard of Wraith creatures from DnD I think anyway.

Wraith Knights are spectral human warriors who are capable of assuming a human visage as long as their mystical swords drink human life energy on a regular basis. There are only four of them in the World Between and they serve as the generals of the King Below.
Our protagonist, Jacob Riverson, is apparently the only surviving one after the death of the King Below in the Final Battle. The death of his master restores Jacob's free will and makes him the (deeply flawed) hero he was previous to death but possessed of evil powers.
D&D's Death Knights (and Lord Soth in particular) may have been in the back of my head when I created them but so were a lot of influences.
