C.T. Phipps I am actually friends with Anna in RL. I also like her Space Punks series. She's a really great supporter of indie cyberpunk novels and we collaborated in the Neo Cyberpunk anthologies. Dan Simmons is fantastic.
C.T. Phipps I actually am stuck with 3rd Edition! I know! I'm so retro!
C.T. Phipps I feel the Rules of Supervillainy, I was a Teenage Weredeer, Straight Outta Fangton, and Space Academy Dropouts are all books that give a sense of what I aim to accomplish as an author. Cthulhu Armageddon and Lucifer's Star are less "funny" but still great books by me too. Psycho killers in Love is also a standalone for those who love Eighties horror.
C.T. Phipps It is now available and narrated by Cary Hite!
C.T. Phipps Wraith Lord has been completed and is now being edited. Its audiobook is being done after a remake of the original with Peter Berkrot as narrator.
C.T. Phipps I generally try to come up with a "cool idea" and then figure out how the characters would react to it. I very much am of the role-playing school of how to handle stories and I think if your characters are detailed enough then they'll write themselves.
C.T. Phipps Awesome. Glad you enjoyed them! As for my next project, by coincidence, it's CAMP DEERWOOD. The third installment of the Bright Falls Mysteries. I also recently finished THE TOURNAMENT OF SUPERVILLAINY which is the 5th book in the Supervillainy Saga. Jane Doe will be guest appearing in that because it's not a terribly serious world.
C.T. Phipps Yes, there will be. They should have been out this December but hopefully will be out in a month or two.
C.T. Phipps I try to make my characters so 3-dimensional they can react in a believable manner to whatever I throw at them and just record what happens in my head.
C.T. Phipps David opened the door and saw himself. He never knew why his doppelganger murdered him.
C.T. Phipps Star Trek or Star Wars definitely. Probably Star Wars because I could become one with the Force when I died but Trek comes close--I'd probably choose to live on Bajor or Kronos, though.
C.T. Phipps My life is decidedly unmysterious so it would probably be a pretty boring book. However, I will say there's numerous conspiracy theories about the town I live in. Coal companies, oil companies, and profiteering that just needs a couple of murders and some plucky detectives to be a thriller. Me being who I am, they'd end up being connected to vampires or A.I. somehow.
C.T. Phipps Alas I do not. The big issue I'd have with using it is finding the time. Which is always a precious commodity.
C.T. Phipps Audrey Horne and Agent Cooper from Twin Peaks. I'm also a fan of Triss/Geralt/Yennefer, Mercy Thompson/Adam, Harry Dresden/Molly, Sookie/Eric, and Luke Skywalker/Mara Jade. I'm not really a shipper but I know what I like.
C.T. Phipps Hey Sang Yoon, I'm sorry I missed this question. Mechani-Cal was definitely a reference to Jim Bernheimer's Confessions of a D-List Supervillainy. Jim is actually my editor so I owe him a great deal. As for The Science of Supervillainy, it is actually done! It should be available on both ebook and audiobook form in early March 2017.
