Goodreads asked Macy Babineaux:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Macy Babineaux I guess the best way to deal with writer's block is to just not believe in it. That may sound glib, but I think it's near the truth. A good writer is never short of ideas. And stories consist of very stereotypical patterns, put together in idiosyncratic ways. Being unable to write a particular scene is like a bricklayer being unable to lay bricks. You may not be in the mood, but you work through it. If you're having trouble with a scene or an entire story, work on something else. But you should always keep the words flowing, even if it doesn't feel like you're being productive.
