Macy Babineaux Hi Debra! Thanks for picking up the first two books. The series is going to be 5 books total. Four of them are out. In addition to Dragon Blue and Dragon Red, the next two books are "Dragon Green: A Vision Unseen" and "Dragon Black, Dragon White: Darkest Day, Brightest Night". I'm currently working on the final book in the series, "Dragon Gold: A Tale Untold". I hope you enjoy the other books in the series too.
Macy Babineaux I guess the best way to deal with writer's block is to just not believe in it. That may sound glib, but I think it's near the truth. A good writer is never short of ideas. And stories consist of very stereotypical patterns, put together in idiosyncratic ways. Being unable to write a particular scene is like a bricklayer being unable to lay bricks. You may not be in the mood, but you work through it. If you're having trouble with a scene or an entire story, work on something else. But you should always keep the words flowing, even if it doesn't feel like you're being productive.
Macy Babineaux My newest project is a dragon shifter erotic romance. It's about a young waitress named Miranda, whose life is stuck in a rut. One day a mysterious female customer comes in alone and stiffs her on the check, but leaves an expensive necklace behind. Later that night, when Miranda puts the necklace on as a lark, she's transported to Xandakar, a world divided into five kingdoms, each ruled by a powerful dragonlord.
She meets Corban Everfrost, newly appointed as the ruler of the Icelands after his father's mysterious disappearance. Miranda assumes the identity of the woman who was supposed to arrive. Corban wants nothing to do with her, but while she struggles to conceal her true identity, she finds herself falling for the cold, aloof young King. And as secrets are revealed, Miranda may yet warm his heart and spark his lust, and she may also hold the key to defeating an enemy from another world that poses a threat to Xandakar and all the shifters who dwell there.
