Was Komarr recorded in multiple sessions for Audible? I listened to a lot of it w ear buds; I could discern different record levels within the same passage. It would sound like a bad "edited for content" television viewing of an R rated movie, where the swear words have a completely different sound within a sentence. :(

I have no idea how Audible does its recordings; you'd have to ask at Audible or Blackstone, I'm afraid.
(Note that some of these audio editions are several years old, so no one may remember even if they were there.)

Are the Vorkosigan Saga's two hatchet-faced men related? Cordelia's first impresson of Sgt. Bothari matches Tej's first impression of Emperor Gregor in this vividly evocative way. Bothari has protection within the military despite the trouble that his Yuri-like disorder causes, and his dislike of Vor seems like it could stem from feelings of abandonment. Is Bothari a son (maybe even the eldest) of Ezar?

There are certain authors that I will immediately order/preorder their new book, but will then save said book to read as a reward or to consume in pure happiness because I know the writing, plot, world-building, etc are top notch and will not disappoint. You, T. Kingfisher, Alma T.C. Boykin, James Benn, (Terry Pratchett, alas) are some of my very favorites. Are there authors or series about which you feel similarly?

I noted a similarity between Barrayar and the Alta colony in Michael McCollum's Antares series -- a colony cut off from the rest of human space when a stellar event shifted their wormhole jump connection. He had evidence of alien invasion when the wormhole reopened, where you had Cetagandans after the Time of Isolation. Had you ever read that series?
