Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Dirk Sayers The story line comes from my own observations and a series of "what ifs" growing out of things I've seen others go through. But the overarching impetus for writing this book is the maelstrom of change that is our place in history. I believe that in thirty years, we will look back on the era and realize just how profoundly it has altered our reality. Among the things we will need to get through it is a way of processing it all without becoming disoriented or worse, cynical.
