Emily asked M.J. Evans:

Hello M.J. Evans do you remember me. I am Emily you signed the book in the Hart of a Mustang to me. I saw you at the Payson book fair. It was wonderful to meet you. I am already half way through the book. It is an awsome book. I just have one quick question. what is the first thing you do before you write a book? I can't wait to here back from you! Again it was a pleasure to meet you. Thanks. love, Emily Steele

M.J. Evans Dear Emily, I am so sorry to be slow writing back. I have been buried with the work of getting my newest book done. I am so excited to read that you love "In the Heart of a Mustang." To answer your question: I don't even start writing a book until I have the whole story figured out in my head. Once I have the plot and the characters, I sit down and start writing. That isn't to say that I don't make changes as I go along. Sometimes a new idea will occur to me and I will make a minor shift in my story...but those are always only minor. Please keep me posted on how you are doing with your reading. Love to you. M.J. Evans
