I read this last night and was totally confused about the ending/twist! So Carrie got away and transferred her money? I actually thought Anne was still alive and Carrie was lying... totally confused.

Rebecca Carrie threw Anne overboard like she says in the book when she confesses her story to Lo while she was locked up. Even though the author wanted you to think Carrie bled out and died from the self-inflicted wound to her head, she didn't and shot and killed Richard Bullmer. Carrie ends up living (though you don't know that until the end) and transfers money to Lo's bank account in the end - which brings up 2 loose ends actually. Where did Carrie get the money from? Lo takes Anne's purse with all the money and credit cards, then forgets it on the front desk in the hotel. And don't you need a bank account number to transfer money to someone's account? Just technicalities really, but still.(less)
