I read this last night and was totally confused about the ending/twist! So Carrie got away and transferred her money? I actually thought Anne was still alive and Carrie was lying... totally confused.

Ellen I agree with Jennifer Mcgown. I also believe Carrie got away and went to Switzerland to live after shooting Richard in his cabin.
