regarding the internet, have you read The Shallows by Nicholas Carr? it's sitting on my bookshelf, untouched, but I'm gonna get round to it soon. I need a big dose of harsh truth in my life.

Noah Nichols I can't say that I've read that one! That certainly seems like a book I would check out. There are a few others I'm going to read soon...such as Moxyland and The Word Exchange. Both are fictional tales, though. Thanks for your question (and for your unintentional suggestion), Eve. Hopefully, you'll dip into No Net sometime for even more prescient pondering!
