I just finished Ella Enchanted, and I LOVED it. I am almost 30 years old, and I still love a good, innocent, and pure romance story. Did you watch the movie, and if so, do you think the movie and actors adequately portrayed what you had in mind? I read the book after watching the movie, and I was much happier with the story line in the book. How does it feel watching your book unfold on the big screen?

Thank you! I think the movie is fun, even though it's very different from the book (and, of course, I prefer the book!). Anne Hathaway is a perfect Ella, and I'm grateful to the movie for sending many readers my way.

I have loved your books ever since I was a little girl. I grew up with Ella Enchanted, but I love The Two Princesses of Bamarre and Ever the best. Question, how do you get the idea for The Two Princesses of Bamarre and Ever? I figured Ella Enchanted is a different version of Cinderella and Fairest is a different version of Snow White. I could never figure out The Two Princesses of Bamarre or Ever, though.
