Goodreads asked Reagan Colbert:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Reagan Colbert A few ways. One is music - Mainly Christian (tobymac). I'm also a songwriter, and songs speak to me in a way that no other form of writing can.
When I'm really blocked, I go back and read all that I had written up to that point. That brings me back into the story, and puts me back into the character's shoes.
The #1 necessity when writing fiction is that you have to be in the story. You have to live, breathe, feel what you're writing. Otherwise, it won't be a real, believable story.
