I just finished this and it's my first brooks novel. I think I would have been completely lost at some points if I hadn't watched the Shannara Chronicles TV series. Especially during the elf sections. Honestly, this book is really disorganized. I don't know if Brook's other novels are better, but this was not a good introduction to his writing. (less)
