If I were going to visit a real Texas town to get the feel of what living in Pecan Springs would be like, which town would you recommend that has the closest feel of the German-influenced community you describe in your books?

Susan Wittig Albert Probably Fredericksburg, which is outside the I35-Corridor and less a bedroom community. Boerne, a little less so. Unless those influences are deliberately preserved, they've been overwhelmed by population growth. Pecan Springs is unique, I'm afraid. :)
