Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

C.D. John The idea for what would turn out to be the core storyline of this book, came to me seemingly out of the blues one afternoon when I was still a teen. The first bit of inspiration was born out of the name of the male lead - Mark Louis de la Mer. At the time, I didn't even know how I would spell his name! It was one of those moments of inspiration that you never forget.

The rest of the storyline was born out of my love for: a good quest, strong female heroines, morally complex heroes, Eighteenth and Nineteenth century art, Fairy and Folk tales, mythology, suspense, and Epic Fantasy.
