How do you get inspired to write?

Penny Morgan I feel very strongly about the natural world and the perils it suffers at the hands of human greed and selfishness - or maybe just indifference. Having trained as a zoologist and comparative psychologist, I'm only too well aware that we underestimate non-human animals' capacity to experience suffering. Civilisations will be judged by the way they treat animals, and we are on the brink of the 6th extinction!
