Goodreads asked Stacey Reynolds:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Stacey Reynolds It's something that's mine. It's not about money or recognition. It's about expressing my need to create something, watching it grow and change. Being a mother and wife, especially in a military family, is all consuming. At some point you look up from the blur of moves and school engagements and dirty dishes and smelly diapers and say, "What am I doing for me?" The great thing is that I take my brain with me wherever I go. So, that and a laptop means my job can move with me. But the very best thing is holding that finished book in my hand like a newborn. I made it.
