Eva John
Eva John asked Marie Silk:

I too have traveled, mainly to South and Central America. However I have written my first book based on a decades old Michigan urban legend, combined with actual personal, first hand experiences with the paranormal from childhood on. My question was how to get people interested in reading my book?

Marie Silk Hi Maria :) I looked at your profile to see your book but noticed that you have not claimed it with an author page yet. That is probably step 1. Go to the "author program" tab at the very bottom of any goodreads page. It will tell you how to claim your book and get the most out of being an author on goodreads. Goodreads giveaways are a great way to get exposure for your book. Readers also like to see reviews on a book before they try it, so finding reviewers is an important step. Look for book review blogs online that review your genre and see if they are taking submissions. There are groups on Goodreads who host read and review programs for some authors. It is just a matter of finding the right one for your genre and following the rules about asking for reviews.
