Georgia asked:

I can't read Tommy's notes on my Kindle. Are we supposed to be able to? I've enlarged the font and just can't read it. I'm not sure if I need to or not and don't want to read beyond if they're vital to the story.

Paul Ack, yes the diary notes are super important. I've sent a note to my publisher about this. Try reading and enlarging on your phone if you can. (that worked for another reader in the mean time)
Krraken The author posted the text of the diary pages on his site at https://thelittlesleep.wordpress.com/...
Janet I just finished reading this wonderful book and yes, the diary pages are critical. I have a Kindle Paperwhite and there is no way to enlarge the photo image of the diary. Fortunately I had checked Goodreads and was prepared for this problem and thanks to Krraken's reply I knew to check Mr. Tremblay's website for a text version of the pages: https://thelittlesleep.wordpress.com/...
I printed these out and kept them with my Kindle so I could read them as they were revealed in the story.
(I will also note this in my review because Kindle readers need to know this or they will be devastated when the first entries appear and they cannot read them.)
Mike Hughes i took pictures with my phone of the screen, then was able to zoom them up. but they are very important to the story. in my hard cover book from SST the diary pages are very easy to read. not sure why the kindle version was like this. hope they can get it fixed
Scott I couldn't read most of them even in a real book. Fortunately the characters reiterate the contents afterward.
Don Gillette After moving from the Paperwhite to the Fire, the pages were easy to zoom and read; however, I don't think having the images in the book vs. just writing them out would make any difference in the story.
Jerie I should have checked here first to find out that the author posted the diary pages and would have saved myself a lot of aggro, but even without being able to read the pages, I got the gist and was so invested in this incredibly involving story that I was still able to enjoy(?) it..not so much for the story itself but for the writing and characterizations and voices, all very true and real. Just not sure "enjoy" is the proper word for the experience, but I want to read more by this author.
Kate I listened to the audio edition but I wanted to reread the ending so I read it in the Amazon Cloud reader. I checked the dairy there and had no trouble reading the notes there or on my Paperwhite so maybe there are specific notes that are problematic?
Bookfan53 I actually read them on my Kindle with a magnifying glass and yes, they are very important.
Claudia Putnam You can read them on a Kindle if you keep tapping on them... they will enlarge in a separate pop-up window. I have a Kindle Touch and they do enlarge, it's just awkward. Kobo usually works the same way--I have a Kobo too, but haven't tried to use it with that.
Robin Lee Hi, everyone,

I just finished the book and reviewed it. I also let readers know that the dairy pages are very important, crucial to the book and understanding a tormented mind. It can't be read on a regular 6' KPW.

~~I felt the author or publisher should have let readers know in advance. But, it's all about marketing and sales in the end.~~~~~

It was not formatted right. You need to buy "Hardcover " or do what I did. I am lucky enough to have a Kindle HDX 7' Fire. So, when I got to the diary pages I switched over to that device. I was then able to read the diary pages by pinch and zoom with no problems.

Reviewed by Robin Lee.
Trudi I took a screen capture on my phone and enlarged the text that way. The pages are critical to understanding everything.
Mat Same issue on Kobo in UK.
Dotti Enderle It was a pain to read those notes. I don't think they had us e-book readers in mind.
Christina I just tried to enlarge them on my kindle tablet. It seemed to work. You have to read these notes.
V. Tarango Jr. My kindle fire let me blow up each of the pages without any issues
