Soumyajeet Addya asked Mark Lawrence:

How do you find so much energy to sit in front of computer or laptop or whatever you use for writing and write novels so big? I remember when I had to write a 100 pages of computer coding as a project, I kept on delaying it until the very last moment. Mostly I kept on reading Liar's Key and a bunch of other books, thus the delay.

Mark Lawrence Your question is 68 words long. If you wrote that many words of a book each day you would have written Prince of Thorns in just over 3 years. It doesn't take a lot of energy to write a book - just consistency.
