Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kate Rauner I am currently working on a story about establishing a colony on Mars. This is a subject that has interested me for some time, but what got me started was a picture in my head of what the cover art should look like. I touched on the colony in my last book, Venture, about a space station in the near future - the station crew visits the colony on their way to their big adventure. Now I'll expand on the idea.
