What gave you the idea to merge Science Fiction with Fantasy and create a unique world? A medieval Europe in a post apocalyptic world, how did that come to be? Did you always intend to write a novel with both those elements?

I make my books up as I type, so I had no idea what kind of world Jorg was wandering through until the lines revealed it.
Where the idea came from I can't say, certainly there was no conscious influence at the time. It may be an unusual setting but it's not unique. Terry Brooks and Stephen King have done similar things, to name but two!

Hi Mark; Loved The Girl and the Stars. Your character Yaz is amazing. I wonder how this timeline compares to the Book of the Ancestors. Is this series the same period, later, earlier. I suspect it will eventually enter the green zone of Abeth. And Taproot???? again? the same?? Might there be a meeting with Nona? Keep them coming!

I'd love to know more about Elias Taproot - he's the unifying feature of your many universes. Is there anything online you've written, guides, et cetera, about him? He's in Broken Empire, Impossible Wish and Book of the Ancestor - I'd love to see a biography of him...
