Hi, Sherrilyn! I'm actually read the COH first! And i'm reading Illusion right now, and (one) of the major questions that bother me, is that if Nick will eventually sort of like "kill" everybody he loves... why have a "love interest"? Because we see the Kody's future (T_T) and Nick in DH so different i guess? .. so... i guess the overall question, will he have a SOLID love interest??? sorry for the long paragraph..
Sherrilyn Kenyon
It's explained in both the DH and CON books. Nick's the Malachai and powerful demons have to have a positive emotion (with love being the most positive/altruistic of all) to override their innate desire to destroy everything. In other words, they have to have something they care about more than themselves. Originally, Nick's anchor was his mother and his love for her kept the demon at bay. When she died, the demon began taking over him, body and soul. They have to give him an anchor or nothing will stop him from utter destruction. Hugs!

I am currently reading Styxx's book and I think it is great to show the contrast between him and Acheron as well as how alike they were in their paths growing up.I think I love these books because I have a fascination for the mythological and its great learning about some of the gods and goddesses I am less familiar with. How did the Dark Hunter series come to be based around the different myths of so many cultures?

You are very talented at patiently laying out the enormous Hunter-verse! So many writers become impatant with a universe 1/4 this size and begin shoving in as many characters and points-of-views as they can. To write approximately 15 books not counting novellas! Then drop a story as epic as Acheron's then write 5 or so more book and drop Styxx? IMPRESSIVE! But how do you begin to plan something this big?
