Ankita V asked Elizabeth J. Church:

How do you write a "true love" story as opposed to one that is seemingly love but is more physically expressed or just a deep infatuation when more closely examined?

Elizabeth J. Church What an interesting question! I give a great deal of thought to what makes a good relationship, how the intricacies of relationships are negotiated and come to be. Clearly, there must be more than mere affinity -- and so there must be a willingness to share, to let boundaries be permeable, to genuinely listen to the other and to foster empathy and advocacy, both. Those are just some of the traits of "love," in my mind, and so I seek to show those through characters' actions and conversations.
