This period of time is full of intrigue and mystery. In what manner did the women support their husbands besides cooking and cleaning?

I think they did as all good spouses do -- they listened. They also were well aware that they could not ask a great deal about what was going on -- that they had to let their husbands say what they could and then settle for not knowing. I think the women provided their husbands with intellectual companionship, the joy of children, and distraction from work pressures.

May I make a comment about The Atomic Weight of Love? Your book was my 10th novel of 2020 and I read it on the heels of Greenwood (by Michael Christie) and Le Plongeur (by Stephane Larue), books that I enjoyed immensely. Sometimes it's difficult to pick up the next book after finishing something very special....but Meridian completely captivated me! I loved so many facets of your novel. Oh no, max comment word count.
