I love this question! My favorite fictional couple is Clara Peggotty and Mr. Barkis in Dickens’ David Copperfield. Remember “Barkis is willin’”? I love her for her steadfastness, her devoted, loving care of David Copperfield. And I love Barkis for his gentle perseverance. Separately, they possess true, kind hearts. Together, they are love made manifest.
