Do I need to/should I read The Cycle of Arawn series first? It seems these characters have been introduced in Robertson's earlier series'.

I thought it explained everything well within the book. I wasn't even aware there was a prior series before I'd gotten a few chapters in haha. But, just saying, this works very well as a standalone story, and I'm planning to continue with this series and maybe come back to the Cycle of Arawn at some point.(less)
