Goodreads asked Lesley Welsh:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lesley Welsh I used to write for magazines on deadlines and have found that great training ground for writing novels. One just has to work at it until it comes right, So I'm not sure I've ever really had a bad case of writers block. If in doubt about a scene, for example, I'll just walk away from my laptop and allow it to ferment in my imagination. Generally what happens is I'll wake up the next morning with the solution.
