Like many others, I absolutely loved Rough Canvas and was hopeful that we would one day also be blessed with an audio version. Is there anything that can be done to encourage a re-recording using a male narrator? I know these things cost money and I'd be willing to put in fund raising efforts to have this story brought to life but in a voice more similar to how I hear it in my head.

Joey W. Hill IRPMB, I'm so glad you loved Rough Canvas. Unfortunately, it's extremely rare that they'll do a re-recording unless a) the book is a big seller that b) gets lots of reader feedback requesting a different narrator. I have heard from readers who are unhappy with a female narrator for the male/male, but I've heard from others who were satisfied with the narrator, so that division of opinion also makes it unlikely they'd re-do it. However, one thing you can do if you haven't already is give Audible your feedback about having male narrators for male/male books. If they hear from enough folks on this then they hopefully won't make the same decision on other male/male stories, therefore making future male/male audio book experiences more enjoyable! Wish I had a better answer for you, but I am very glad you love Marcus and Thomas's story!
